The Banjar, Social Hub of Village Life :
Bali is not a place where each seeks his own - it is a place that requires collective participation in almost every aspect of political, social, economic, and religious life. The extended family itself acts like a social organization, but beyond that the most immediate and intimate organization for every Balinese is the banjar.

Caste and Clan

The Wayang Wong is performed annually, usually in conjunction with the birthday celebration of the puta desa, the ancestral temple in each village.
